Saint-Gérard-Majella Church Conference
Conference : L’église Saint-Gérard-Majella, un patrimoine exceptionnel en péril
On Monday, September 12th Action patrimoine is asking its members to attend a public conference regarding the Saint-Gérard-Majella Church in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
The building was recently sold to a real estate developer who is intending to demolish the church in order to make way for a housing project.
Through this conference Action patrimoine is looking to take the time to re-visit the church, its merits, and its history. The church is considered part of a modern vernacular in architecture, and was a project helmed by by Guy Desbarats (1925-2003) a founding partner of our firm, established in 1955.
Representatives of Architecture49 will be in attendance.
